About us
Renminbi Compass is a research service provided by the Financial Times’ China Confidential, reflecting key changes in the renminbi-denominated investment environment. Our mission is to provide orientation for investors navigating the expanding universe of renminbi asset classes.
When we launched in October 2010, most of the action for overseas investment funds in China revolved around renminbi-denominated equities. Now a new array of opportunities exist, accompanied by significant volatility in returns.
Renminbi Compass provides research coverage on asset classes as diverse as chengtou bonds, dim sum bonds, real estate, trust products, underground banking, art and antiques, as well as our traditional equity fund research. Our proprietary data also reveals liquidity flows between these asset classes both within China and overseas and, perhaps most importantly, we estimate the monthly return that each key asset class offers.
